If you’ve walked past the Bay State Commons Green, you might have noticed the newly installed peace pole!
The Rotary Club of Westborough is joining the grassroots global movement of promoting peace in the world and re-awakening our sense of inner peace by installing our own. The Peace Pole is a symbol of the universal prayer of peace: “May Peace Prevail On Earth.” The pole will be a permanent landmark displaying this prayer in multiple languages.
The design serves as an anchor of hope, reminding us that peace isn’t just a global concept, but a local practice. Through this project, we hope to inspire our community to pause, reflect, and consider how each of us can contribute to creating a more peaceful world—starting right here in Westborough.
A huge thank you goes out to Basic Landscaping for their incredible work preparing the site and expertly laying the beautiful brickwork surrounding the monument. Their craftsmanship has helped create a welcoming and meaningful setting for this special community project.
We’re also excited to share that all of our customized bricks have been purchased and are now in the beginning stages of production! Each brick represents a personal connection to this project and will become part of the lasting legacy of the Peace Pole at Bay State Commons.
