For years, the Rotary Club of Westborough has put on the Spring Festival. We've transitioned this to the Westborough Spirit Committee.

Going forward, the club will be putting on a Fall evening event as a fundraiser for the work we do.  In its inaugural year, we are doing a casino themed event at the DoubleTree hotel.

We need club members to help make this a success.

Specifically, we need:

- items to auction.  Do you or a friend have a "Cape House" where we could auction a stay?  What about your neighbor the artist, will they donate something (all those paint bar pictures in your basement - why not donate them?)  What about your work - can they donate some products that will do well at an auction?  And we all can donate a cooked meal at your home!  Let Marie Kirby know innkeeper@westboroughinn.com.

- save the date - we are doing this Friday night, October 25.  Bring your spouse and/or significant other, and your friends, to the event.  It promises to be a fun event....

The casino night came as a concept from Harold Pinkham.  Jason Camuti and Gary Kelley are working with the DoubleTree and an event planner (lovingly called a cruise director.)  You know it will be a first class event.

Marie Kirby and Neal Boch are heading up Auction donations.

Kathy Wilfert and Betsy Moquin are working on sponsorships.

And the attached graphic from Forrest Musselman blows me away.

At the event, we will celebrate 50 years of service to the community starting with our founder Nelson Ball.
