Members may recall that last year the Club awarded Westborough senior John O'Connell a scholarship which John chose to defer for a year as a pursued several adventures. Since we last met John, he has completed an internship at Duke University, journeyed to Vietnam and Cambodia with his mother and grandparents, and has enrolled at the University of San Diego where he'll begin classes this fall. Today (March 6) John and his friend are beginning their Appalachian Trail hike which he expects to finish in July. We look forward to welcoming John back to our Club during August when he'll relate the story of his adventures and the Club will formally present him with his scholarship.
